News Releases - Introduction

The Power of the News Release

This series will cover the importance of the news release (also known as a press release) to the Mainstream Media (MSM) and how to promote ideas through the news sections of the newspapers.

While the Internet is shaking up the MSM, the fact is that roughly 60 million readers still get their news from newspapers. In spite of often being biased and shallow, newspapers still have a great deal of credibility. By mastering the news release, you can help influence and educate a broad spectrum of people.

This series will also cover:

  • Why newspapers (as well as magazines, television, and radio) rely so heavily on news releases
  • Using news releases for political and commercial causes
  • Neutral-sounding organizations that spread subjective news
  • How to be considered an expert in your field
  • What is news?
  • Tips for writing and packaging a story
  • Helpful suggestions for increasing your chances of getting published.

The left has been using the media like Kleenex. It’s time to break their grip.

By following the advice here, you will see your news and your views in the newspaper more often.
